Insidious: The Red Door is the fifth installment in the hugely popular horror franchise, bringing back plenty of familiar franchise characters for their deadliest and most dangerous adventure yet. Patrick Wilson As Josh Lambert
Wilson reprises his role in Insidious: The Red Door as Josh Lambert, the patriarch of the Lambert family, who often find themselves in conflict with spirits from another world. The actor has also starred in five films of another horror franchise, the Conjuring Universe, as ghost hunter Ed Warren. Wilson's other known movie roles include Raoul in the film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, Dan Dreiberg/Nite Owl IIin the Watchmen movie, and Orm Marius/Ocean Master in the Aquaman franchise. On television, Wilson is famous for playing Joe Pitt in HBO's Angels in America miniseries and Lou Solverson in Fargo season 2.
Ty Simpkins As Dalton Lambert
Ty Simpkins will also be reprising his role as Dalton Lambert, the oldest child in the central family, in the Insidious: The Red Door cast. Dalton boasts a special connection to the spiritual world after finding himself possessed by a spirit in the first movie, and as such, he plays an integral part in this sequel. Insidious was one of Simpkins’ first breakout roles, but since then, he’s found several iconic parts: including Tony Stark’s young friend Harley Keener in the MCU, endangered nephew Gray Mitchell in Jurassic World, and troubled teenager Thomas in The Whale.
Rose Byrne As Renai Lambert
Renai Lambert is the wife of Josh Lambert and the mother of their three young children in the Insidious series, and she’s often forced to protect her family from the deadly presence of spirits in their home. The character is played by Rose Byrne in both Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2, and she’ll be reprising her role once again in Insidious: The Red Door. Byrne is best known for her comedic roles as Jackie Q in Get Him to the Greek, Helen Harris III in Bridesmaids, and Kelly Rander in the Neighbors movies. On TV, Byrne's biggest roles include Ellen Parsons on Damages and Sheila Rubin on Physical.

Andrew Astor As Foster Lambert
Played by Andrew Astor in the Insidious: The Red Door cast, Foster Lambert is the middle sibling in the Lambert family, though his roles in both Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2 were only minor. He’s never been in direct contact with the spirits that haunt the family, but Insidious: The Red Door will likely give Foster a more important role since Astor is now grown. The actor’s other popular roles include Eli in The Hangover, Jack Fielding in two episodes of Saving Grace, and Addison in an episode of How I Met Your Mother.
Julianna Davies As Kali Lambert
Kali Lambert is the youngest sibling in the Lambert family, but much like Foster, she hasn't really been involved with the supernatural events that haunt her parents. But she’s several years older in Insidious: The Red Door, so it’s likely that Kali will be more aware of everything that’s going on around her. Julianna Davies will take over the role of Kali Lambert from twins Madison and Brynn Bowie. Davies' acting credits include Katherine in Spielberg’s The Post, Emma Buckley in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, and various characters on Saturday Night Live between 2019-2021.
Lin Shaye As Elise Rainier
Lin Shaye plays Elise Rainier in the Insidious: The Red Door cast. Elise is a psychic who saved the day in both Insidious and Insidious: Chapter 2 by helping the Lamberts communicate with the spirits that haunted them, before taking on the role of protagonist in the two prequel movies, Insidious: Chapter 3 and Insidious: The Last Key. Despite dying at the end of Insidious, Rainier makes another appearance in the fifth installment from the supernatural world. Shaye is considered a scream queen for her roles in multiple horror movies, including Paulina Zander in the Ouija movies and Faith Matheson in the 2020 The Grudge reboot.

Hiam Abbass - Though her role remains unconfirmed, Hiam Abbass is officially part of the Insidious: The Red Door cast. The actress is most famous for playing Marcia Roy in HBO’s acclaimed drama Succession, though her other acting credits include Freysa in Blade Runner 2049 and Marie Claude Hamshari in Spielberg’s Munich.
Sinclair Daniel - Another unconfirmed role, Sinclair Daniel will have an important supporting role in the fifth Insidious movie. The project will be among the actress’ first feature-length movies, though she’s appeared in TV shows such as Bull and Madam Secretary, where she played the characters of Clara Williams and Mia Costello, respectively.
Peter Dager - Peter Dager will also appear in the Insidious: The Red Door cast. The actor’s previous acting credits include Harris in WITS Academy on Nickelodeon and Miguelito in Demente Criminal.
Jarquez McClendon - Jarquez McClendon is another member of Insidious: The Red Door’s supporting cast, though his role also remains undisclosed. The actor doesn’t have many prior acting credits, though audiences may recognize him from Netflix’s Extraction, where he played an uncredited Black Operatives Agent. McClendon also appeared as Brian Allen in Attack and a soldier in Angel Has Fallen. He will also appear as Darnell in the 2023 Jennifer Lawrence comedy No Hard Feelings.
