The Telecom Services team encompasses several different categories and responsibilities. The team includes Telecom Analysts, Telecom Billing Auditors/Analysts, Project Managers and Audio-Visual engineers. The major areas of responsibility include coordinating installs, vendor management and support of the following areas for all of Publix Retail and Support: Overhead MUZAK and paging; Video Security (cameras, NVRs, mgmt. platform); Voice and Data Services delivery; Radio systems (including Life safety); Cell and Satellite devices and systems; Fire and Burglar systems; all Cabling infrastructure; and Audio-Visual systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide project management for Telecom and network related projects
- Provide project management and coordination for all circuit/line orders and installs in retail and support
- Provide project and vendor management for cellular and satellite systems in retail and support
- Provide device support for cellular and satellite systems
- Manage inventory and billing details for new cellular and satellite devices and systems
- Review and approve receiving for all invoices related to assigned vendors and projects
- Provide backup support for 2-way radio systems, Omnichannel and Pharmacy/bedside devices, other corporate wireless devices, cell repeater systems, Life Safety systems
- Provide Tier 3 support for all wireless systems escalations from Network Support
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in or equivalent experience in a related field of voice/data communications, Project Management, Computer Science, or Business Administration
- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology hardware and software solutions, project management and working with business accounting principles.
- 3+ years of experience with vendor management
- 1+ years of experience with satellite and cellular device/systems hardware
- 1+ years of experience with ordering network/voice services and managing telecom providers
- Ability to multi-task several projects with minimal supervision
- Strong ability and experience developing and executing RFPs, writing proposals and recommendations, and preparing financial spreadsheets
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and conflict management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a large number of remote locations
- Functional knowledge of CAD with the ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to act in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures
- Experience with Inbuilding Cell Service Systems including regulations and practices
- Experience with 2 Way radio systems including regulations and practices
- Experience with Life Safety EMS systems including regulations and practices

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
