May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had,so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. https://lnkd.in/g_azSwJt

Where is the narrow gate that leads to eternal life?John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”John 5:24: “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.”John 20:31: “Believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”Why?Romans 10:10: “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”What is my secure source of belief?Romans 10:17: “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”As such and therefore:Matthew 4:4: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”2 Timothy 3:16-17: “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”Do I realize that entering the narrow gate, Christ Himself, requires I truly believe in Him from the heart, meaning I am committed to follow Him at His Word?christatthehelm.org

Title: "Navigating Sin's Shadow with Repentance and Mercy: Genesis 4-6 and Romans 2"Dear congregation,In Genesis 4-6 and Romans 2, we encounter poignant narratives that illuminate the human struggle with sin and God's call to repentance and mercy.Genesis 4 unveils Cain's jealousy, leading to fratricide. This cautionary tale urges us to guard our hearts against envy. In Genesis 6, a world corrupted by sin faces God's judgment through Noah's ark. As Noah found favor, let us seek righteousness, embracing the ark of salvation in Christ.Romans 2 warns against self-righteousness, stressing the importance of heartfelt obedience over mere knowledge of the law. Paul prompts us to introspect, acknowledging that God judges impartially based on deeds. In Romans 2:4, he highlights God's kindness as the catalyst for repentance. These passages call us to confront sin, repent, and embrace God's mercy. Noah found grace amidst judgment, and we too can experience mercy by humbly turning to God. Let our lives reflect the transformative power of repentance and God's enduring kindness.Amen.

FAITH FRIDAY**The mission of Faith Friday is simply to share the goodness of God.**READ:Have you ever wondered what it truly means to have faith? You may have heard this term before from loved ones, friends, or mentors, but what exactly does it entail?Faith is described as the complete trust and confidence in someone or something, and it goes beyond mere intellectual assent. Faith is rooted in reliance and trust, and it persists even in the face of uncertainty.Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Two words that stand out here are hope and trust. Faith requires holding onto hope, despite what one may perceive with their physical senses, and trusting that God will provide whatever is needed. It is trusting the process so much that the outcomes are almost visible. No matter what obstacles you may encounter today or in the future, remember that God is with you. Have faith, and trust in His plan – you will make it through.SCRIPTURE:Romans 15:13 ESVhttps://lnkd.in/ggmCrU2UMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.Romans 8:26 ESVhttps://lnkd.in/gFcEX8P3Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.MUSIC INSPIRATION:https://lnkd.in/gmZqeQHC

How can we tell the difference between real or false prophets? How do we test the spirits? And if the spirits are not the Holy Spirit, then who or what are they? These are just some of the questions to consider in this week’s edition of the Walking Talking Bible Project.
