THETA_THUNDERCLAPS
Theta Thunderclaps are a phenomenon that can only be found in their designated level: Level Theta. Ever since their discovery in 1960, Theta Thunderclaps are becoming increasingly common.
February 2, 2000: "Discovery"
Reports on Level Theta all suggest towards the existence of a greater force on Level Theta. Wanderers have witnessed anomalous activity within the waters of the level. On the second of February in the year of 2000, [NAME REDACTED] reported sudden flashes piercing the darkness of the waterlogged chasm. Following the lights were a series of loud, omnipresent crashing noises. The aforementioned person described the questionable event as "quick lightning and deafening thunder". Ever since this event, the same phenomena has been spotted by many other wanderers who trek the level.
June 24, 2003: "The First Incident"
Three years after Discovery, the anomaly has begun to show effects on wanderers. Agent Polly of the Major Exploration Group was the first to fall victim to the Theta Thunderclaps. After focusing on the flashes for an extended period of time, she underwent a series of mentally-altering symptoms that eventually took away her sanity. The aforementioned symptoms have been classified as effects of a recently documented disease known as "Theta Madness".

After a week of these painful symptoms, Polly suddenly disappeared without a trace. However, a mysterious note was later sent to the M.E.G.; the origins of this note cannot be precisely determined, but many theorize that it came from the dark depths of Level Theta.

The Transcendent Theta
The true manifestation of the Transcendent Theta lies above human comprehension and understanding, forever divine in the memories of its worshippers. It is the symbol of inconsistency and unpredictability. Its raging storm of thoughts forever torments its wish for peace. It is corrupted by the passage of time, eternally rotting away until nothing remains except its dead husk, devoid of soul and life. It lives in fear of the true nonexistence of immortality. Its superlunary form exists in dimensions far greater than the third, and its effect is rapidly spreading from its core. For every person who submits to its cause, its will will slowly strengthen, a piece of its former self being placed back to where it once was.
So where does the Transcendent Theta lie?
At the bottom of the depths, forever waiting for the day.

October 12, 2010: "EXPANSION"
EXPANSION has been the most obvious of the rapidly increasing sights of the Transcendent Theta. Entrances to the entity's body, Level Theta, are becoming more common, often taking on the form of a dark blue door marked with a neon white theta sign bordered by a bright right triangle. All major organizations have sent out a notice to never enter Level Theta under any circ*mstances. Ever since then, the level has been classified as Impresario Class Priority, and all forces to neutralize the threat will be monitored by the Major Exploration Group.

THETA_THATCHER
Theta Thatcher is a Person of Interest known for wandering the corridors of Level Theta. They are believed to have connections to the Transcendent Theta.
Theta Thatcher, the only title he is known by, is an elusive being, only being sighted six times as of currently. Appearing as a male humanoid figure with entirely black skin, their face is replaced by a glowing white θ, presumably the being's eye. Staring into the symbol would provoke a sudden rush of memory flashbacks. Any people who experience the flashbacks will also have their faces replaced with Thatcher's symbol. The entity also has complete power over Level Theta, being able to manipulate matter and light. The primary way that Thatcher combats primarily focuses on one's mentality and sanity, often taking advantage of the opponent's limited vision.
Theta Thatcher appears to have an aura around him that absorbs light, causing the space around him to appear warped and darker than they really are. Approaching Thatcher from a close distance will cause one's vision to entirely distort into a kaleidoscopic madness of glowing white theta signs. The body of Thatcher can change into other states of matter, thereby rendering common means of harm useless and ineffective against him.
Thatcher, while relatively peaceful, will attack upon slight aggravation; such include repeated insults, intentionally blocking his path, or attempting to harm or kill him. The offenders will undergo little to no physical pain, but their sanity will be stripped to almost nothing. This effect, however, does wear off in an unexpectedly short time, but it will leave a scar in oneself. Fleeing from Theta Thatcher will also not work, as his speed and mastery of noclipping eclipse a human being's capabilities by a considerably large margin.
The first mentions of the existence of Theta Thatcher began surfacing only a few centuries after the first humans noclipped into the Backrooms. Often described as the "Figure With the Crossed O", the number of sightings stayed relatively low. With the passage of time, the number of worshippers accumulated until it reached four-digit numbers. Eventually, however, the cult ultimately disbanded for unknown reasons. Left with a small amount of devoted wanderers, Thatcher later claimed to have received orders from the Transcendent Theta. From that point until now, Thatcher has been luring lonely wanderers into the depths of Level Theta, ultimately leading them to their deaths, presumably taken by the Transcendent Theta.
Thatcher is the High Priest for an organization known as The Transcendence. The main purpose of the group is to revive the Transcendent Theta, and members of the group are referred to as "Thetians". Obviously, the cult poses as a major threat to the entirety of the Backrooms and, should they fully complete their goal, the Frontrooms as well. Sacrificing entities to the Transcendent Theta is the main focus of the cult.
THETA_THREAT
0:00 - A door, marked with the Theta sign, lies at the end of the dark corridor. It is silver-colored, and the Theta sign is dark blue. Below the symbol is labeled are words "TRANSCENDENCE"
0:52 - A faint whirring noise can be heard, and it gets increasingly louder for approximately seven seconds.
1:24 - White static can be heard, and the lighting in the background flickers momentarily.
4:21 - Behind the door, a white glow begins to form around the door's frame. Crackling sounds can be heard, presumably from the source of the aforementioned light.
4:54 - Whispers.
5:63 - Knocking.
7:75 - 93% TRANSCENDENCE
