What do people do at Bonnaroo? ›

Marching to the beat of our own drums, getting dressed up in something fancy or just high steppin' and spinning an umbrella as you waltz through Outeroo with all your best friends is a good ol' time and just one more magical thing that makes Bonnaroo special.

The main attractions of this festival are the multiple stages featuring live music with a diverse array of musical styles including indie rock, classic rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, Americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, pop, electronic, and other alternative music.

Pass holders must be in line by 8pm each day. There are no "any day" vehicle passes. All vehicle passes will have an assigned entry day or span of days, even for accessible camping, glamping and parking.

I would advise everyone to go at least once. This was our third visit to Bonnaroo, and the first time we bought tickets before the lineup was out. We didn't think we would love this year, but we did. It's always a great time on the farm.

Shorts, skirts, bathing suits, and dresses are usually part of a Roo lady's wardrobe. If you have outgrown showing your midriff, just wear shorts and a tank top during the day.

#5 You can Pay Everywhere with Bonnaroo Cashless

Carrying your credit card or large amounts of cash with you around a crowded event can be quite risky. This is why adding your card to the Bonnaroo Cashless system is the best way to purchase anything at the festival.

There are hundreds of permanent, flushable toilets in Centeroo in two separate buildings. Flushable “vac” toilets will also be available at each Plaza as well as permanent showers at some Plaza locations (and temporary shower buildings at others).

Food from 150+ vendors including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options. Bars, concessions, official band and festival merchandise, free water stations, and more amenities throughout Centeroo and Outeroo.

As long as you're confined within your campsite and not bothering your neighbors, you can sleep in a tent, in your car, in an igloo, etc. You do you. Please be mindful of safety if you choose to sleep in a vehicle.

Our safety staff is trained to help make sure everyone has a good time and stays safe. If you have a security issue in the campgrounds, each Plaza has a security station open 24 hours. If you need any assistance at all during the festival, look for the SafeFest helping hand or our team in yellow t-shirts.

Is Bonnaroo like Burning Man? ›

Much like Burning Man and Mardi Gras, Bonnaroo has its own rules and practices. Thankfully, you can be on the same page with everyone else by reading the Bonnaroovian Code.

Showers cost a small fee, but all other bathroom facilities are free. In addition, we will have port-a-John's set up throughout the campgrounds, Centeroo and the Main Venue.
